Master Plumber – Connecticut P-1 License (Residential & Light Commercial)
Job Type: Full-Time
We’re Kelsey and Sean, owners of bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford — a new, family-owned plumbing company serving southern Fairfield County. We’re building this company in partnership with the skilled professionals who make it possible. With backgrounds in business and operations, we understand what it takes to create a company that runs smoothly, treats people fairly, and delivers quality with consistency.
bluefrog Plumbing + Drain is a nationally recognized plumbing franchise with locations across the United States. Founded in 2014, bluefrog has grown rapidly by focusing on what matters most — quality workmanship, honest service, and strong local ownership.
- Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service work — repairs, installs, diagnostics, and maintenance
- Diagnose issues and communicate clearly with customers about solutions and pricing
- Use ServiceTitan for job management, dispatch, drafting estimates, invoicing, and updates
- Set and uphold standards for code compliance, craftsmanship, and safety
- Mentor and train journeyman plumbers and apprentices
- Collaborate with ownership to develop service processes and best practices
- Provide technical input on tools, equipment, and material decisions
- Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and customer care
- Maintain clean, safe, and code-compliant work environments
- Contribute to our growing culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Expectation of 35-45 hours a week
- Work directly with ownership to shape team culture, field operations, and quality standards.
- Help guide company decisions about equipment, tools, and systems to ensure quality
- As we expand, this role will evolve into a Field Operations Leader or Technical Director position overseeing multiple crews.
- Play a key role in establishing a respected brand known for integrity and professionalism.
We’ve structured compensation to recognize both your leadership and your licensing responsibilities:
- License Partnership Stipend: You’ll receive a monthly stipend of $2,500 for licensing and compliance oversight, compensating you for serving as bluefrog Stamford’s qualifying Master Plumber with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. A separate license agreement will govern this portion of the arrangement, outlining renewal terms and notice requirements independent of your employment agreement.
- Plumbing Work Compensation: In your day-to-day responsibilities performing plumbing work, you will receive base pay of $50/hour plus the potential for additional sales and performance-based compensation. This model rewards performance and productivity without any commission games or pay caps. Most plumbers can expect to earn $2,000–$4,000 per week, depending on workload and efficiency.
- Signing Bonus: $2,500 signing bonus provided.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off (PTO), holidays, and sick days
- Take-home Company vehicle + gas card
- Uniforms, tools, and technology provided
- iPad + ServiceTitan access for real-time job management
- No weekends or late-night emergency calls
- Consistent hours - no seasonal layoffs
- Career development and leadership growth opportunities
- License renewal and continuing education opportunities
